- List every transferable skill: Research, writing, editing, public speaking, data analysis, project management—you name it. Academia gave me more tools than I realized.
- Focus on what you enjoyed. Not just what I was trained to do.
- Talk to real people in real jobs- Informational interviews helped me understand what was out there—and what might be a good fit.
